Virtual Career Fair attracts numerous opportunities for students and graduates
Azad University (UAE Branch) was pleased to hold the first virtual career fair on 12 April 2021. The primary purpose of this career fair was to establish a networking connection to develop valuable skills for a future career. In this career fair, graduates and students explored and evaluated various employment and internship opportunities in the recent virtual career fair event.
The virtual fair also aimed to help architecture and business management students access many employers. The virtual event brought together local, regional and international private and government organisations as well as a group of alumni looking to hire, offering a host of career openings in business management and architecture engineering included in bachelor degree in Business administration and architecture followed by a master degree in architecture and law programs.
Alumnus Sara Salim, a sales manager, shared a few points at the exhibition regarding her career field.
“For the most part, my experience was positive. The market is challenging and always has its ups and downs, especially regarding employment. This experience today was great. I had an opportunity to talk about my job interests and also an opportunity to discuss my career opportunities with people in my field. I can say I now have a better idea of my career options as a result of this career fair.” |
This successful event provided students and alumni with an opportunity to connect with top recruiters offering a multitude of information and unique benefits for finding a job in their desired industry via video and text chat, browsing virtual booths and checking the posted vacancies. They also had access to digital tools and features that helped them search resumes and access a diversified set of candidate skills, experience levels and backgrounds.
At a time when infinite challenges face the world, COVID-19 being the most diabolical, we know for a fact that our active involvement with the IAU Virtual Career Fair is a necessity, providing a robust platform for connecting students and fresh graduates with leading employers across the MENA region. The provision of internship and employment opportunities through the event will support the growth and prosperity of youth and lead to a future brimming with socio-economic sustainability in the region.
