My name is Sarah Jumaah from Iraq an architect engineer graduated from IAU university in 2011 in Dubai – knowledge village

When I registered in IAU in 2006 , although I received an excellent review about it from many directions  ,

I still remember the first day i was feeling happy because its my first day in university like any fresh student  but in the same time I felt worried and nerves Mixed of feelings !!!!

At the beginning myself and my brother and our closed friend from Syria was the only arab students there, its like we are traveling to new country which is Iran I was worried about different nationality , also languages and communications with students .

Although I was sure that the main language was English in IAU education .

But things has changed very quick from first week the first days , I can say every single person from reception department , admins to teachers & students made our experience great and different .

We were welcomed in unexpected way , I really felt like home and because we were from different nationality they gave us extra care and attention . Psychologically side I felt super happy , confidant and ready for study .

From education side which most important I completed 5 years in architecture engineering not only (art ), and this very important for any student would like to be an architect

 ( You have to make sure you study it as an engineering To make beautiful design is not enough if you doesn’t know how to make it functional )

And this is what I learnt in IAU

I received a strong foundation and high education from an experienced professors like ( Dr Ghobadian , Dr Bukhtiar , Dr.Abri shamkkar and all other respected professors .

They supported our education with many facilities like site visits , architectural conferences and speeches etc …

I graduated in 2011 and became an ( architect engineer ) , After I graduated I worked in multi international company  like AECOM , Azizi developments

And btw you don’t really recognize the good education that you received and good university you choosed until you work !!! and this happens when architectural companies will See it in you work ability and your creative designs

I could do a couples of good projects in Dubai that companies and clients were happy from it !

And that’s all back to IAU

Ans now I’m proud to introduce myself as  10 years experienced architect and I have my own business with family in architecture engineering field .
