Research Affairs

In view of the important role of research in the comprehensive development of society and individuals, Islamic Azad University’s Research Department attempts to create an atmosphere to encourage and support research activities both within and outside the university.
Research Department ensures that all academic and scientific activities undertaken by IAU-UAE Branch are within the framework of general policies, rules and procedures adopted by the University’s home campus.Research Department has a wide range of administrative functions including but not limited to:

  1. Monitoring the thesis process of postgraduate students
  2. Promoting research in collaboration with the faculties and the departments
  3. Assessing the research activities of the faculty members
  4. Monitoring and updating the university’s library by providing the books, magazines and publications required by the faculty members and students.
  5. Holding specialized workshops and seminars to update the knowledge and skills of the faculty members as well as students.
  6. Promoting technology transfer to IAU faculty members and students.
  7. Facilitating and coordinating the participation of faculty members in local and international scientific conferences and seminars.

Attention

All the postgraduate students are required to submit the English competency evidence (Academic IELTS equivalent of 6 or TOEFL score of 550) prior to attend their Viva Voce (Thesis Defense).
