IAU-UAE to Host ASAIHL 2017

Speaking to Azad News Agency (ANA) sssssasaihl-1in Isfahan on May 24, 2015, the chancellor of the UAE Branch of Islamic Azad University, Dr. Mohammadreza Shahriari heralded that the UAE branchhas been awarded with the opportunity to host the ASAIHL 2017 Conference in Dubai.

The decision, he was quoted as saying, came in the heels of the talks held in the sideline of ASAIHL 2015 Conference with ASAIHL
Secetary-General, Dr. Ninnat Olanvoravuth, and ASAIHL President, Prof. Datuk Ramlan, where they found the academic capabilities and campus facilities of the UAE branch as fully appropriate for hosting the event.

When asked about the ASAIHL, he added that the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning was formed about six decades ago as a regional higher education hub and gradually other universities from all around the globe, including IAU, joined this successful academic association.

Elsewhere in his interview, Dr. Shahriari touched on the visit that the esteemed President of Islamic Azad University, Prof. Hamid MIMG_9809irzadeh, paid to the UAE Branch’s booth at ASAIHL, 2015, where he lauded the active role of the UAE Branch as a representative of IAU beyond the borders hoping that the overseas branches would fulfill the task of being a crossroad for the exchange of domestic and international knowledge and expertise via garnering international professors and students as well as introducing the renowned Iranian scientists and academicians to the world.

Dr. Mohammadreza Shahriari then went on to say that such substantial, international events would pave the ground for displaying the potentials of Islamic Azad University creating an ambience for further international scientific interactions with leading universities, which would, in turn, boost the quality and competitiveness of the university.

The two-day ASAIHL 2015 Conference was held in the Khorasgan Branch of IAU, in Cultural Capital of Iran, Isfahan, on May 23-24.
