General Courses
General courses comprise 24 compulsory credit hours of instruction. Only the non-Iranian students are allowed to earn an equivalent elective course from another department to replace some of the general courses like the Persian Language. Please note that the substitute course must not need a pre-requisite.
Basic Courses
Basic courses refer to 14 credit hours of instruction to be earned only by the students studying in the technical and engineering discipline.
Deficiency Courses
Deficiency courses can be both general and basic ones, and refer to the courses that a freshman must earn unless he/she has scored 33.3% or above in the subjects tested in the IAU entrance exam.
The syllabi of all the courses above are exactly similar to those of the Iranian universities as stipulated by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran.
