The Department of Computer Engineering (DCE) started its operation in 1999 in its location at Bur Dubai and later moved to Knowledge Village during the IAU inauguration in 2004. Our mission is to train both software and hardware engineers who cope with the requirements of both fast growing IT technology and industrial development. The important role of Information Technology and Computer Engineering on all branches of science and technology as well as business, Trade, E-commerce and international marketing has made the field of computer engineering the most outstanding and the most favorite program around the world.

Our programs are accredited by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Islamic Republic of Iran. All courses, including theoretical and practical subjects have been taught in English and students are trained in an international academic environment to be able to work both in industry and educational centers as well to continue their higher education in any international universities and academic environments.

Our faculties, staff members, and lab assistants are highly professional and dedicated, and our labs, workshops and classrooms are equipped with most modern software and hardware facilities to help students understand their course contents and practice for the real world problems and industrial needs. Our virtual library has provided a good resource for students and educators who are eager to do research for their course works, term papers, theses, as well as journal papers and seminars.
