The IAU – Dubai Branch Architecture Engineering Department was established in 2004. All lessons are in accordance with the architectural program of the Iranian Universities accredited by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran. Documents of IAU have been confirmed by the Society of Engineers of U.A.E. The language of teaching is English.
The formal architectural education is based on a four-year study program for bachelor’s degree and two years for master’s degree.
In the first four years, the purpose of the program is to teach future architects how to design and build a building. Freehand and CAD drawings and design, building technology and construction methods as well as history and principles of the western and also Iranian traditional architecture are taught in this period.
In the two-year program for the master’s degree, students further develop their design skills and at the same time, their understanding of the theory and concept of architecture in different disciplines.
Our faculty and staffs have the experience of teaching in the best international and local universities. We have a close academic and scientific collaboration with the best Western and Middle Eastern architectural schools through joint symposiums, research projects and educational field trips.
Sustainability and sustainable architecture is becoming more important every day and the architectural graduate program is moving in this direction.
